This year Barry Golden of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows asked me to run sound for and Emcee the Battle Stage at Janesville's 2010 Rock Around the Block. What a BLAST. The pic below links out to the Janesville Gazette article.  Voigt Music (Janesville/Beloit) provided all the backline hardware and instruments for the kids to use, and HOLY GUACAMOLE what TALENT there was!! My stage started with local Elvis Tribute Artist Shawn Sharp and the day just got BETTER!!  Hours Left was the winning band on the Battle Stage this year and they were truly phenomenal!! The stage's final act was EXMOOR a really great alternative hard rock band that I expect to see great things from in the years to come!! There were many GREAT SPONSORS that did many GREAT things, but the Battle Stage simply wouldnt have happened without Voigt Music owner Tony, the items he donated on loan, and the GENEROUS $500 gift certificate to the winning band!! Thank you Tony, and EVERYONE involved for letting me participate!! Excelsior!
